The project aims to enhance the safety of the Khrami 1 Hydropower Plant (HPP) in Georgia through the implementation of an Early Warning System and associated risk management measures.


The project approach integrated dam safety management based on risk analysis, applying international best practices.
The main project tasks were:

  • Conducting field investigations
  • Hydrological analyses, hydraulic modelling, and development of flood risk maps
  • Designing and implementing an Early Warning System and an Emergency Action Plan
